The HERTEL MR34-0437.406 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1.11 mm reamer diameter and a tight diameter tolerance of 0.0000 to +0.0003 mm, this tool delivers consistent, accurate bore sizing in a single pass. The spiral flute geometry with left-hand spiral direction promotes smooth chip evacuation while the right-hand cutting direction maintains standard operational feel. At 50 mm overall length with a 10 mm flute length, this compact reamer is suited to CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision boring setups where hole quality and repeatability are critical. Machinists and tooling technicians are the primary installers.
This chucking reamer is intended for finishing pre-drilled or bored holes to precise diameter in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as plastics and composites where tight tolerances are required. Its straight shank makes it directly compatible with standard drill chucks, collet holders, and floating reamer holders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. The bright, uncoated finish suits general-purpose machining where coating is not required. This tool covers the 1.00 mm to 2.00 mm diameter range class and is appropriate for residential toolroom, production floor, or prototype machining use.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for use in standard straight-shank toolholding systems across CNC and manual machining equipment capable of accommodating the 1.00 mm to 2.00 mm diameter reamer class.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or seating the reamer in the toolholder. Secure the straight shank firmly in a matching collet or drill chuck to the appropriate torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the reamer cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as solid carbide tooling is brittle and sensitive to impact.
