The HERTEL MR34-0398.281 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a reamer diameter of 1.01 mm and a tight tolerance of 0.0000 to +0.0003 mm, this tool delivers accurate, repeatable hole sizing in small-bore work. The spiral flute geometry with left-hand spiral direction helps evacuate chips efficiently while the right-hand cutting action engages the workpiece cleanly. Overall length is 50 mm with a 7 mm flute length and a straight shank for standard chuck mounting. Installation and use of this reamer should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with small-diameter precision tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck are fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or unloading the reamer. Secure the straight shank firmly in a correctly sized collet or drill chuck to minimize runout, as even slight runout at this diameter can affect tolerance and tool life. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material and avoid forcing the tool — reamers are finishing tools and should remove only a small amount of material per pass.
