The HERTEL MR34-0110.059 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision bore finishing in tight-tolerance machining applications. With a diameter of 0.011 inches (0.28 mm) and a four-flute spiral configuration, this reamer delivers consistent, accurate final-pass sizing in small-bore holes. The straight shank is compatible with standard collet chucks and drill press setups. A bright (polished) coating reduces friction and promotes clean chip evacuation. The cutting direction is right-hand while the spiral flute direction is left-hand, a configuration that helps pull chips away from the cutting edge and reduces the risk of workpiece damage in through-hole operations.
This reamer is suited for precision machining environments where small-diameter bore finishing is required, including aerospace, medical device, mold and die, and general metalworking applications. With an overall length of 1.9685 inches (50.00 mm) and a flute length of 0.0591 inches (1.50 mm), it is optimized for short, high-accuracy reaming passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC machining centers, manual mills, or drill presses will find this reamer appropriate for finishing bores in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for use in standard straight-shank collet chucks and compatible toolholding systems suited for small-diameter precision reaming operations.
This reamer should be installed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures for small-diameter carbide cutting tools. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or seating the tool. Use a properly sized collet to avoid runout, which can damage a carbide reamer at this diameter. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material and verify bore pre-drill diameter before reaming to avoid overloading the flutes.
