The HERTEL MR34-0094.059 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance applications. With a reamer diameter of 0.24 mm (0.0094 inches) and a tolerance of 0.0000 to +0.0003 mm, this tool delivers accurate, repeatable hole sizing in hard or abrasive materials. The spiral flute geometry with a left-hand spiral direction promotes smooth chip evacuation during right-hand cutting operations. The bright polished finish reduces friction and helps maintain dimensional accuracy. This reamer is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision manual setups where sub-millimeter bore finishing is required. Machinists and tool-room technicians working with micro-diameter bores in production or prototype environments are the primary users.
This reamer is suited for micro-hole finishing operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where dimensional precision is critical. The 1.5 mm flute length and 50 mm overall length make it appropriate for shallow, fine-tolerance bores in small precision components such as instrument parts, medical devices, electronic assemblies, and watch components. The straight shank allows direct chucking in standard collets and drill chucks without adapter hardware.
Designed as an OEM-style chucking reamer for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand-held setups accepting straight-shank tooling in the sub-millimeter diameter range.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Secure the straight shank firmly in a precision collet or drill chuck before operation, and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the tolerance class of the bore. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before inserting or removing the reamer. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and protect the polished flute surfaces.
