The HERTEL E599924461 is a double-end, solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 5 mm mill diameter with a 10 mm length of cut and a 4-flute, right-hand cutting geometry with a 30-degree helix angle. The micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed for demanding cut profiles. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for applications where coating is not required or where the base carbide performs best. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling of metals and engineered plastics. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. With an overall length of 51 mm and a 5 mm shank diameter, it fits standard ER and milling collets sized for 5 mm shanks. Centercutting capability allows it to plunge directly into workpiece material without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed for use in standard CNC and manual milling machine spindles accepting a 5 mm shank diameter via collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's spindle and collet specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the recommended engagement depth to prevent tool pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts.
