Sized at wire gauge No. 73 (0.0240 inches / 0.61 mm), it features a 118-degree drill point angle and a fast spiral with a 35-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation. The tapered web configuration improves rigidity and reduces walking at entry. A bright polished finish minimizes friction and buildup during cutting. This bit is intended for use by machinists, electronics manufacturing technicians, and skilled tradespeople requiring tight-tolerance, small-diameter drilling.
The 30002400 is suited for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel, making it applicable across PCB manufacturing, precision metalworking, and light fabrication environments. Its heavy-duty grade solid carbide construction supports repeated use in production settings where consistency and hole quality are critical. With a 3/8-inch flute length and 1-1/2-inch overall length, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC spindles designed for small-diameter tooling. This drill bit should be installed and operated by a qualified machinist or technician familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance, as solid carbide bits are brittle and sensitive to side-loading. Power down the spindle completely before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended feed rate or spindle speed for the workpiece material, as carbide bits at this diameter are susceptible to breakage under excessive force.
