The HERTEL 1001403 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. The HC335 grade carbide substrate is CVD-coated with a three-layer TiC, TiCN, and TiN coating system, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of cutting conditions. With a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch corner radius, this insert is well suited for medium-duty finishing and semi-finishing passes on steel and stainless workpieces.
