The HERTEL 1001223 is a solid carbide turning insert in the TPG320 style, designed for single-point turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Coated with titanium nitride (TiN) via a PVD process, the HC210 grade insert offers wear resistance suited to finish and semi-finish turning. The triangular insert geometry features a 60-degree included angle, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle (0.375 inches), and a 0.004-inch corner radius. It is held in place with a clamp-style toolholder and is used by machinists and toolroom technicians across production and job-shop environments.

This insert is part of the HERTEL KENDEX series and carries a neutral hand designation, making it compatible with toolholders configured for either right- or left-hand operation without orientation preference. Primary workpiece materials include stainless steel (M), non-ferrous metals (N), and heat-resistant superalloys (S). Secondary workpiece material compatibility includes cast iron (K). The maximum depth of cut is 0.049 inches (1.25 mm), placing this insert in finish to light semi-finish turning applications. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
