The HERTEL 1001144 is a solid carbide turning insert in the TPG324 style, designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It carries a tri-layer CVD coating of TiC, TiCN, and TiN under the manufacturer grade HC335, providing wear resistance and thermal protection during continuous and interrupted cuts. The insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with an 11-degree relief angle and a neutral hand orientation, making it suitable for both right- and left-hand toolholders that accept the TPG seat style. Insert length is 16.5 mm (0.6496 inches) with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 1/16-inch corner radius.

This insert is used in the KENDEX series toolholding system and targets ferrous machining applications. Primary workpiece material classification is P (carbon and alloy steels); secondary classification is M (stainless steel).
