The HERTEL 1000690 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC and manual lathes. It carries the TPG431 style designation with an HT10 manufacturer grade and ships in an uncoated finish. The insert is triangular in shape with a 60-degree included angle, a 1/2-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/64-inch corner radius. At 22 millimeters in length and 3/16 inch thick, it fits standard TPG-style clamp-held toolholders. The neutral hand orientation makes it suitable for both right- and left-hand cutting directions depending on holder configuration.
