The HERTEL 1000667 is a solid carbide turning insert in the TPG322 style, designed for use on CNC lathes and turning centers in metalworking applications. Manufactured to the KENDEX series with a HC210 grade and Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) TiN coating, this insert provides wear resistance suited for a range of workpiece materials. The triangle insert shape carries a 60-degree included angle, a 3/8 inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32 inch corner radius. With a neutral hand orientation and positive rake, it is compatible with standard TPG-style clamp-type toolholders. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in precision turning operations will find it sized at 0.6496 inch insert length and 1/8 inch insert thickness.
This insert is intended for turning operations on materials classified as M, N, and S primary workpiece materials, with K as a secondary workpiece material designation. Typical applications include finish and semi-finish turning of stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys in both production and job-shop environments. The maximum depth of cut is 1.25 mm (0.0492 inch), making it suitable for light to moderate material removal passes. It fits standard clamp-type TPG insert seats and is used by machinists and CNC operators in industries requiring close-tolerance turned components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for KENDEX series TPG-style clamp-type toolholders accepting TPG322 inserts with a 3/8 inch inscribed circle. Compatible material grades listed are C2 and C4.
This insert is installed and indexed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamp hardware specified by the toolholder manufacturer when seating the insert. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edge prior to use.
