The HERTEL 1000630 is a WNMG431F-style indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a multilayer CVD coating of TiC, TiCN, and TiN under the HC335 manufacturer grade. The trigon insert shape features an 80-degree included angle, a neutral hand orientation, and a 1/64-inch (0.0156-inch) corner radius for general-purpose finishing operations. At 0.375 inches in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and 0.1875-inch thickness, it is sized for standard WNMG431 toolholders. Licensed machinists and CNC lathe operators install this insert for turning applications on steel and stainless workpiece materials.

This insert is rated for primary workpiece material group P (carbon and alloy steels) and secondary material group M (stainless steels), making it well suited to general turning, light finishing, and semi-finishing passes on a variety of ferrous materials.
