The HERTEL 1000161 is a neutral-hand MTEN-style indexable turning toolholder designed for general-purpose external turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. It features a negative rake geometry with a -10 degree rake angle, which provides added edge strength and is well suited for harder work materials and interrupted cuts. The shank measures 1.25 inches wide by 1.25 inches tall with an overall length of 6 inches. The toolholder accepts TN..54. series inserts, secured by a clamp and screw holding method. It is constructed from steel and is intended for installation by machinists and toolroom professionals.

This toolholder is suited for medium to heavy-duty turning applications in production and job-shop environments. The neutral hand orientation allows use on either side of the centerline, offering flexibility in setup. With a 6-inch overall length and a head length of 1.64 inches, it fits standard tool posts and turrets configured for 1.25-inch square shank tooling.
