The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 06078 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for deburring, chamfering, and edge-breaking operations on metalwork. It features a 0.5-inch cutter head diameter, a 90-degree included angle, and a two-flute right-hand cutting geometry that produces clean, consistent chamfers in a single pass. The APLUS coating improves wear resistance and reduces friction during cutting, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. At 3 inches overall length with a 0.25-inch length of cut, this tool is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where precise edge preparation is required. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool.
This chamfer mill is used in job shops, production machining environments, and toolrooms for edge chamfering on milled, turned, and fabricated components. Its single-end configuration and 0.5-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is well suited for chamfering holes, deburring edges, and countersinking operations on aluminum, steel, and other machinable materials.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended minimum engagement depth for the holder type in use. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before running. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material.
