The HELI-COIL A4184-5CN100 is a tanged, screw-locking helical wire insert designed to create a strong, vibration-resistant threaded hole in parent materials that require reliable thread retention. Manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this insert accepts an M5 x 0.80 metric coarse thread and provides a 2D length-to-diameter ratio with an overall insert length of 10.00 mm. The locking feature is produced by a deformed coil that applies radial pressure against the mating fastener, resisting back-out under dynamic loads. Electricians, millwrights, maintenance technicians, and mechanical contractors install these inserts to repair stripped threads or to reinforce threads in softer base materials.
