The HARVEY TOOL 41962-C3 is a miniature corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and extended-reach applications. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating, this single-end tool features a 0.062-inch mill diameter, a 0.01-inch corner radius, and 3 flutes with a right-hand spiral and right-hand cutting direction. The stub flute design combined with a 0.75-inch reach length and 2.5-inch overall length makes it well-suited for deep-pocket and narrow-slot work where rigidity and tool projection both matter. It is center-cutting, supports both roughing and finishing passes, and carries a normal pitch with a 30-degree helix angle.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups where small-diameter tooling is required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in abrasive ferrous and stainless applications. The straight cylindrical shank at 0.125 inches diameter is compatible with standard collet-style toolholders. This tool is typically installed and run by CNC machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision milling shops requiring consistent corner geometry at miniature diameters.
Designed for use with standard collet-style toolholders accepting a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpiece materials per the HARVEY TOOL Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Long Reach, Stub Flute series specifications.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the recommended engagement depth for the holder being used, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Avoid side-loading or interrupted cuts that exceed the tool diameter-to-reach ratio recommended for miniature carbide end mills.
