The HARVEY TOOL 20660-C6 is a solid carbide tapered end mill designed for high-precision milling applications where tight tolerances and fine detail work are required. It features a 1-degree taper angle per side with a 0.0600-inch small end diameter, a 0.6000-inch length of cut, and a 3-flute geometry with a square end profile. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. Machinists and toolmakers install this end mill in CNC machining centers for contoured cavity work, draft angle milling, and miniature feature generation in mold, die, and precision component applications.
This end mill is suited for precision machining operations in both production and prototype environments. Its miniature geometry makes it well-suited for mold-making, die work, medical device components, and aerospace detail parts where fine tapered walls or small-radius features are required. The solid carbide construction handles hardened steels, stainless, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys in rigid, high-speed setups. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with CNC tooling setup. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut to protect the small-diameter tip from deflection or breakage.
