The GREE SAP24HP230V1R32AH is a 24,000 BTU/h wall-mounted indoor unit from the Sapphire R32 series, designed for single-zone ductless mini-split heat pump systems. Operating on 230 volts with R32 refrigerant, this unit functions as the indoor air handler in a split-system configuration, circulating conditioned air through a crossflow fan at up to 7 selectable speeds. It is rated up to 27 SEER2 and 11 HSPF2, making it one of the more efficient options in the residential and light-commercial ductless segment. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as part of a matched system paired with a compatible Sapphire R32 outdoor condenser.
This indoor unit is suited for single-zone residential and light-commercial applications where ductless delivery is preferred or required. It mounts high on an exterior-facing interior wall and connects to the outdoor condenser via a refrigerant line set and low-voltage control wiring. The Sapphire series targets spaces where quiet operation, precise airflow control, and ultra-low ambient heating performance are priorities. The unit is rated for heating operation down to -22 degrees F outdoor ambient, making it appropriate for cold-climate installations. Built-in WiFi enables remote control and monitoring without a separate accessory module.
Designed for use as the indoor air handler in a matched GREE Sapphire R32 single-zone mini-split system paired with a compatible SAP24HP230V1R32AO outdoor condenser unit. Confirm outdoor unit compatibility before ordering.
Installation must be performed by an EPA 608-certified HVAC technician, as this system uses R32 refrigerant, which is classified as mildly flammable (A2L). Disconnect and lock out all power to the system before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. Follow all local mechanical and electrical codes, including applicable NEC requirements for disconnect sizing and wiring. Do not exceed the manufacturer-specified line set length or elevation difference between indoor and outdoor units.
