The GOODMAN gpch32431 is a 2-ton horizontal packaged air conditioner rated at 13.4 SEER2 and 10.6 EER2, designed for ducted outdoor installations where horizontal airflow discharge is required. It delivers 22,800 BTU/h of rated cooling capacity using R-32 refrigerant and a single-stage scroll compressor. The unit operates on 208/230 volts, single phase, 60 Hz, with a minimum circuit ampacity of 17.6 amps and a maximum overcurrent protection of 25 amps. A multi-speed indoor blower motor with five speed settings allows airflow to be matched to the duct system. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning of this equipment.
The gpch32431 is suited for residential and light commercial applications where crawlspace, closet, or other horizontal-configuration installations are required. The unit ships factory-charged with 38 ounces of R-32 refrigerant, eliminating field charging in standard installations. It is compatible with the accessory and control components listed under Goodman GPCH3 series references, including thermostat kits, disconnect boxes, and programmable controls identified in the manufacturer product reference list. Typical installations connect to existing low-voltage thermostat wiring and supply/return duct systems configured for horizontal airflow.
Designed for use with Goodman GPCH3 series accessory components including references DDNECNJPCHHA, DHZECNJPGCHM, DPHFRA, GPHMD101-103, INFKPKG01, IRKT-01, OT18-60A, PCCP101-103, PCEF101-103, PCMD101-103, PCMDM101-103, PCP101-103, PCP101-103R8, SQRPC101, and SQRPCH101. Confirm voltage, duct configuration, and refrigerant compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding the appropriate EPA Section 608 certification for handling R-32 refrigerant. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing. Verify that the supply circuit is sized to the 17.6-amp minimum circuit ampacity and protected by no more than a 25-amp overcurrent device per NEC requirements. Ensure horizontal duct connections and condensate drain piping, using the 3/4-inch drain outlet, are properly sloped and secured before startup.
