The GLOBAL PLASMA SOLUTIONS gps-pf-i is a self-cleaning filter enhancement system designed to improve sub-micron particle capture in commercial and residential air handling applications. Using electrostatic Opti-Lok technology, the unit charges airborne particles upstream of system filtration, increasing the effective efficiency of compatible synthetic-media electrostatic filters without requiring filter replacement on a shortened cycle. The gps-pf-i handles airflow from 0 to 3,500 CFM and accepts a wide input voltage range of 24 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz, making it adaptable to a broad range of control circuits. At 1.42 pounds and compact unit dimensions of 7.3 inches L x 2.0 inches W x 4.3 inches H, it mounts directly inside ductwork or air handling units upstream of filtration.
The gps-pf-i is intended for installation inside ducts and air handling units where enhanced particle capture is required. It is suited for both residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The unit operates across a temperature range of -20 degrees F to 140 degrees F and tolerates 0 to 100 percent relative humidity (non-condensing), making it appropriate for a range of installation environments. The integrated self-cleaning cycle draws 14W during operation versus 11W at standard run, minimizing long-term maintenance demands. HVAC technicians installing indoor air quality upgrades on existing air handling systems will find the wide voltage compatibility and compact footprint practical for retrofit applications.
Compatible with electrostatic filters using synthetic media. Designed for duct and air handling unit installation upstream of system filtration in systems with airflow up to 3,500 CFM.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the air handling unit before beginning installation. Mount the unit inside the duct or air handler upstream of the filter media per manufacturer orientation requirements. Verify that input voltage at the installation point matches the unit's 24 to 240 VAC rating before energizing, and confirm the alarm dry contact wiring is isolated from line-voltage circuits.
