Genesis Cable 54766101 14AWG 4-conductor Audio Cable Cmr CL3R

Product Description

The GENESIS CABLE 54766101 is a 14 AWG, 4-conductor stranded audio cable rated for in-wall and structural wiring applications in non-plenum spaces. Built to CMR, CL3R, and FT4 standards, this cable is engineered for commercial and residential audio distribution, background music systems, and speaker wiring runs where a fire-retardant, riser-rated jacket is required. The 105-strand construction provides flexibility during pulls through conduit or stud bays. It is a standard specification for low-voltage audio installers, systems integrators, and electricians working to NEC Article 640 and 725 requirements.

This cable is suited for in-wall speaker runs, distributed audio systems, and structured wiring installations in both residential and light commercial settings. The riser rating makes it appropriate for vertical runs between floors where plenum-rated cable is not required by code. Installers working in multi-room audio, home theater, or commercial paging and background music systems will find this a commonly specified conductor size for 4-wire speaker or control applications.

Key Features

• 14 AWG, 4-conductor stranded configuration with 105-strand construction for pull flexibility
• CMR (Communications Multipurpose Cable Riser) rating for vertical riser installations
• CL3R rating meets NEC Class 3 riser requirements for audio and low-voltage wiring
• FT4 flame test rating for Canadian and cross-listed code compliance
• Non-plenum jacket suitable for wall cavities, conduit, and riser shafts outside air-handling spaces

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-spec cable for non-plenum, riser-rated audio and low-voltage wiring installations in residential and commercial systems.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or electrician familiar with NEC Article 640 and Article 725 requirements for audio and signaling cable. De-energize all connected equipment before terminating conductors. Do not route this non-plenum-rated cable through air-handling plenums or environmental air spaces where plenum-rated cable is required by local code. Verify local Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements before substituting riser-rated cable in any application.
