The GENESIS CABLE 53931106 is a Cat6a plenum-rated (CMP) data cable designed for structured wiring installations in air-handling spaces and plenum ceilings. Built to 23 AWG with a 4-pair configuration, it meets the Cat6a performance standard for 10 Gigabit Ethernet at frequencies up to 500 MHz. The FT6 rating qualifies it for Canadian plenum installations as well. It ships in a 1000-foot pull box for clean, efficient job-site dispensing. Licensed low-voltage technicians and data cabling contractors install this cable in commercial and institutional buildings where fire code requires plenum-rated jacketing.
This cable is suited for horizontal runs in plenum air-return spaces, dropped ceilings, and open office environments where exposed or concealed routing passes through HVAC air-handling zones. The 1000-foot box format supports full floor or zone pulls without mid-run splices. Blue jacket color aids identification and color-coded labeling practices on structured cabling jobs. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit network infrastructure projects requiring 10GbE backbone or horizontal distribution runs.
Designed for use in standard Cat6a structured cabling systems terminating to Cat6a keystone jacks, patch panels, and modular plugs in commercial and institutional horizontal distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or data cabling contractor in accordance with ANSI/TIA-568 structured cabling standards and applicable local fire codes. Do not exceed the NEC-specified bend radius or pulling tension for plenum-rated cable, as exceeding these limits can degrade transmission performance. In plenum spaces, verify that the installed jacket type matches the air-handling zone classification required by the authority having jurisdiction before pulling cable. Terminate both ends using Cat6a-rated hardware to maintain channel performance.
