The GENESIS CABLE 50071008 is a quad-shielded RG6 coaxial cable on a 1000-foot reel, designed for CATV distribution and broadband signal applications. The conductor is copper-clad steel (CCS), which provides the structural strength needed for long runs while maintaining adequate signal conductivity for cable television and satellite systems. Four-layer shielding significantly reduces ingress and egress interference compared to standard dual-shield RG6, making it suitable for installations where signal integrity across long cable runs is critical. The cable ships on a 1000-foot reel in black jacket, ready for interior or exterior structured wiring work.
This cable is used in residential and light commercial CATV, satellite, and broadband distribution systems. Typical applications include trunk runs from distribution amplifiers, home runs from splitter panels to individual outlets, and MDU (multi-dwelling unit) wiring infrastructure. The black jacket suits installations in conduit or along exterior surfaces where UV and environmental exposure may be a factor. It is installed by cable and satellite technicians, licensed low-voltage contractors, and structured wiring installers.
Designed as a standard RG6 quad-shield coaxial cable for use in CATV, satellite, and broadband distribution systems requiring quad-shield RG6 with F-type termination.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or structured wiring contractor in accordance with applicable local codes and NEC Article 820 for community antenna television and radio distribution cable. Maintain minimum bend radius during pulling to avoid kinking or compromising the shield layers. Terminate with F-type compression connectors rated for quad-shield RG6 to ensure full shield contact. De-energize any active distribution amplifiers or signal sources before terminating or splicing into a live system.
