The ERICKSON 6624 is a 24-inch stretch cord built for securing loads in trade and utility applications. The cord features a multi-strand natural rubber core wrapped in a nylon cover, giving it strong elastic recovery and resistance to abrasion. Vinyl-coated hooks at each end protect surfaces from scratching and help hold attachment points securely. The cord remains flexible down to -40 degrees F, making it reliable in cold-weather jobsite or service vehicle use. Ozone and sunlight resistance extend the service life of the rubber core when the cord is stored or used outdoors. Each unit is individually UPC coded. Colors are assorted and cannot be specified at time of order.
This stretch cord is suited for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general trade service work where a reliable tie-down is needed for tools, equipment, tarps, or materials. It is commonly used to secure items in service vans, on trailers, or on equipment during transport. The 24-inch length noted in the product data reflects the strap measurement without the S-hooks included, so installed length will be slightly greater depending on hook attachment points.
Designed as a general-purpose stretch cord suitable for securing loads in trade service, utility, and light transport applications.
Attach hooks to secure anchor points before stretching the cord over the load. Do not overstretch beyond the cord's natural elastic limit, as this can permanently deform the rubber core. Inspect hooks and cord body for cracking or deformation before each use. No special tools are required for installation.
