The ELECTRO HARDWARE MMX1425M06-MSC is a male-male hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between stacked PCBs or between a board and an enclosure panel. Machined from aluminum alloy grade T3 with a clear finish, this standoff features an M3 x 0.5 thread on both ends and a hexagonal body that accepts a standard wrench or socket for secure installation. The overall length is 15 mm, with a 15 mm body length and thread lengths of 5 mm and 6 mm on each end. It meets QQ-A-225A Comp 2 material standards. Electronics assemblers, panel builders, and field service technicians typically install these in control board assemblies, drive enclosures, and instrumentation panels.
This standoff is suited for metric PCB stacking applications in both commercial and industrial control panels, HVAC equipment boards, and general electronic enclosures. It is appropriate wherever a rigid, conductive aluminum spacer is required to maintain board clearance and provide a threaded male post for fastening an opposing board or cover plate. The compact 5 mm width across flats keeps the footprint tight in densely populated board layouts. Each unit is sold and packaged individually.
Designed as a standard metric M3 x 0.5 male-male hex standoff for use in circuit board assemblies and electronic enclosures requiring 15 mm OAL aluminum spacers.
De-energize and discharge all circuits before handling circuit board hardware to prevent electrostatic discharge damage or shock. Use a properly sized nut driver or hex wrench matched to the 5 mm width across flats to avoid rounding the hex body. Do not over-torque aluminum standoffs, as the material is softer than steel equivalents and threads can strip under excessive force. Installation is typically performed by electronics assemblers or control panel technicians following applicable assembly drawings and IPC standards.
