The EKLIND 13709 is a 9-piece L-key ball end hex key set built for mechanical and maintenance work where access angles vary. Each key is machined from alloy steel and features a ball end tip that allows entry at up to 30 degrees off-axis, making it practical in tight or recessed fastener locations. The set covers a hex size range of 1.5 mm to 10 mm, giving technicians the sizes most commonly encountered on HVAC equipment panels, electrical enclosures, plumbing fixture assemblies, and general mechanical systems. The long-arm style provides extended reach and increased torque leverage on the driver end.
This set is suited for residential and light commercial service work where metric hex fasteners are standard. Typical applications include adjusting set screws on shaft couplings, assembling or disassembling panel hardware, and performing equipment maintenance on metric-fastened components. The ball end feature is particularly useful when working at an angle in confined equipment compartments. All nine keys are included as individual L-shaped wrenches rather than a folding holder, which some technicians prefer for individual reach and torque control.
Designed as a general-purpose metric hex key set compatible with standard metric hex socket fasteners across residential and commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing service applications.
No power lockout is required for hand tool use, but always de-energize and isolate equipment before accessing internal fasteners on electrical or HVAC components. Use the long arm for reach in confined spaces and the short arm for higher torque applications. Avoid using the ball end for final torque tightening, as off-axis engagement reduces the effective torque capacity of the tip.
