The EKLIND 101520 is a ball end hex screwdriver insert bit designed for use with 1/4 inch hex drive tools. The ball end tip allows engagement with fasteners at angles up to approximately 25 degrees off-axis, making it practical in tight or hard-to-reach spaces. Sized at 10 mm hex, this bit is made from alloy steel with an oxide finish for corrosion resistance. It measures 2 inches in overall length and is a standard insert format intended for use with bit holders, extension bars, and power screwdrivers. This bit is not impact rated and is intended for hand or low-torque power tool use.
This insert bit is suited for assembly and maintenance work where metric hex fasteners are encountered, including HVAC equipment panels, electrical enclosures, plumbing fixture hardware, and general mechanical assemblies. The 1/4 inch drive format makes it compatible with the wide range of standard bit holders and magnetic tip drivers used in commercial and residential service work. The ball end design is especially useful when direct axial access to a fastener is obstructed by adjacent components or structural members.
Designed as a standard 1/4 inch drive insert bit for use with compatible bit holders, extensions, and screwdrivers accepting insert-style bits. Replaces MSC part number 08082331.
Insert bits should be seated fully in the bit holder before applying torque to avoid cam-out or bit ejection. Verify the drive tool and holder are rated for the application before use, and do not use this bit with impact drivers as it is not impact rated. Inspect the bit tip for wear or deformation before each use, as a worn ball end can damage fastener sockets.
