The ECOBEE eb-state6lp-01 is a Wi-Fi enabled smart thermostat designed for residential HVAC systems requiring intelligent, connected temperature control. It features a crystal-clear touchscreen display with a 4-inch LCD and built-in radar-based occupancy sensing technology that detects when spaces are occupied or vacant, allowing the system to adjust setpoints automatically. The thermostat supports 7-day programmable scheduling and connects to iOS and Android devices for remote control. Humidity-adjusted temperature compensation keeps comfort levels consistent regardless of ambient moisture conditions. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners typically handle installation.
The eb-state6lp-01 is suited for residential applications across a wide range of HVAC system types. It supports heating, cooling, and multi-stage configurations and is compatible with most 24-volt HVAC systems. The thermostat also functions as a home monitoring hub and can pair with SmartSensors sold separately to extend occupancy detection and temperature monitoring to individual rooms, making it a practical choice for larger homes or zoned comfort applications. It includes all mounting hardware and wiring accessories needed for a self-install scenario.
Compatible with most 24-volt HVAC systems. Works with SmartSensors sold separately for extended room sensing and home monitoring. Refer to the ecobee compatibility checker and system wiring documentation before installation to confirm fitment with specific system configurations.
Power down the HVAC system at the air handler disconnect and the breaker before removing the existing thermostat. A licensed HVAC technician should confirm low-voltage wiring compatibility and verify that a common wire is present or that the C-wire adapter included is appropriate for the system. Follow NEC guidelines for low-voltage thermostat wiring. Do not apply power to the unit until all wiring connections are secured and the device is fully mounted.
