The DANFOSS 120h2303 is a high-capacity hermetic scroll compressor designed for commercial air conditioning systems. Also referenced as the DSH161A4ALDM, this unit delivers approximately 161,000 BTU/h of cooling capacity and operates on a 460-volt, 3-phase power supply using R410A refrigerant. It is built for demanding duty cycles in large commercial and light industrial HVAC applications. Licensed HVAC technicians and commercial refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers for a unit of this class and capacity.
This compressor fits large-tonnage commercial split systems, packaged rooftop units, and custom-engineered HVAC systems where R410A is the specified refrigerant. Its 460-volt, 3-phase electrical configuration makes it appropriate for commercial building mechanical rooms and rooftop equipment where 3-phase power is available. It is not intended for residential or single-phase applications.
Designed for commercial R410A air conditioning systems requiring a 460-volt, 3-phase hermetic scroll compressor at approximately 161,000 BTU/h capacity. Consult system engineering documentation and the original equipment manufacturer specifications before replacing an existing compressor.
Installation must be performed by an EPA Section 608 certified HVAC technician with experience in commercial refrigeration systems. Isolate and recover all refrigerant from the system before removing the existing compressor, and de-energize and lock out all electrical power per NFPA 70E requirements. Verify oil type and charge, suction and discharge line sizing, and system operating pressures are compatible with this unit before startup. Follow the compressor manufacturer startup procedure and applicable mechanical codes for your jurisdiction.
