The CRATEX 75442 is a rubberized abrasive mounted point designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing on metal, ceramic, and composite workpieces. Built around an aluminum oxide abrasive in a rubber bond matrix, this point delivers controlled material removal with a fine, 120-grit cut. The maximum diameter is 0.25 inches and the overall thickness is 0.5 inches, with a 0.125-inch shank for standard die grinder and rotary tool collets. Shape code W163 defines the point geometry. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and metalworking technicians use mounted points like this for detail finishing work in confined areas that larger wheels cannot reach.
The 75442 is suited for light deburring, edge blending, internal bore finishing, and surface conditioning in both production and maintenance settings. Its fine grade makes it appropriate for final-pass work where surface finish quality matters more than aggressive stock removal. Typical applications include finishing weld seams, cleaning up machined recesses, and smoothing burrs on ferrous and non-ferrous parts. The rubber bond matrix provides some flexibility, reducing the risk of gouging on contoured or irregular surfaces.
Designed as an OEM-style mounted abrasive point compatible with die grinders, rotary tools, and flex-shaft machines accepting a 0.125-inch shank collet. Verify that the tool spindle speed does not exceed 26,250 RPM before use.
Installation requires a die grinder or rotary tool with a 0.125-inch collet. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before inserting or removing the mounted point. Tighten the collet securely to prevent slippage at speed, and confirm the tool RPM rating does not exceed the 26,250 RPM maximum marked on this point. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety standards when operating abrasive tooling.
