The CRATEX 75429 is a rubberized abrasive mounted point designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing on metal and other hard materials. Built in the W160 shape, this point measures 0.25 inches in maximum diameter and 0.25 inches thick, mounted on a 0.125-inch shank for use in die grinders, rotary tools, and flexible shaft machines. The abrasive is aluminum oxide at a medium grade with a 70 grit rating, suited for controlled material removal without aggressive stock loss. A maximum operating speed of 51,000 RPM gives machinists and fabricators wide compatibility with standard high-speed rotary equipment.
This mounted point is used in tool and die work, weld cleanup, port matching, mold finishing, and general precision deburring on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is well suited for bench grinder spindle work, handheld die grinder applications, and automated fixture setups in machine shops. Machinists, tool and die makers, and fabricators reach for this type of point when access geometry demands a small-diameter, controlled-cut abrasive rather than a wheel or disc.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for rubberized mounted points with a 0.125-inch shank, compatible with standard die grinders, rotary tools, and flexible shaft machines accepting that shank diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or fabricators familiar with rotary abrasive tooling. Before mounting, confirm the collet or chuck is rated for the 0.125-inch shank and that the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 51,000 RPM rating marked on this point. Always dress or inspect the point for cracks or irregularities before use, and wear appropriate eye protection per ANSI B7.1 guidelines for abrasive products. Do not exceed the rated RPM under any circumstance, as overspeed is a primary cause of abrasive point failure.
