The CRATEX 6808 M is a square abrasive stick designed for hand deburring, surface conditioning, and precision finishing work across metal fabrication, glass, and stainless steel applications. Constructed with silicon carbide abrasive grain bonded in a rubber backing, this stick measures 1 inch wide by 1 inch thick by 6 inches long and carries a medium grade cut rate. The rubber bond provides a degree of flexibility that helps the abrasive conform to contoured surfaces, making it well suited for work where rigid stones would leave uneven contact. Machinists, tool and die technicians, pipe fitters, and maintenance trades commonly keep rubber-bonded abrasive sticks on hand for in-place deburring without disassembly.
This abrasive stick is used on glass, ferrous metals, and stainless steel surfaces where a medium cut is needed to remove burrs, blend welds, clean up machined edges, or prepare mating surfaces before assembly. The 6-inch length gives adequate hand grip and working life for bench or field use. It is appropriate for both shop and light field maintenance settings. The square profile makes it easy to work into 90-degree corners, slots, keyways, and similar internal geometries where round profiles lose contact.
Designed for hand deburring and surface conditioning on glass, metal, and stainless steel workpieces. Suitable for bench grinding, maintenance, and fabrication workflows where a medium-grade silicon carbide abrasive stick is required.
This abrasive stick is a hand tool used by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians without power equipment. Secure the workpiece before use and wear appropriate eye protection and gloves, as silicon carbide abrasives generate fine particulate during use. No mounting hardware or fasteners are required. Follow shop safety protocols and applicable OSHA guidelines for abrasive hand tool use.
