The CRATEX 6802 XF is an oblong abrasive stick with a rubber-bonded silicon carbide construction, ground to an extra fine grade for finishing and deburring work on glass, metal, and stainless steel. Measuring 1 inch wide, 0.25 inches thick, and 6 inches long, it offers a comfortable hand-held form factor for controlled surface work. The rubber bond cushions the abrasive grit, allowing the stick to conform slightly to irregular surfaces and reducing the risk of gouging during finishing passes. Machinists, tool and die makers, and metalworkers reach for this type of stick when a consistent, fine surface finish is the goal.
This abrasive stick suits bench deburring, edge blending, and fine finishing on a wide range of materials including glass, ferrous metals, and stainless steel. The oblong shape provides a flat working face for flat surfaces and a narrow edge for accessing slots, keyways, and tight internal geometry. It is commonly used in machine shops, fabrication environments, and maintenance repair operations where hand-applied abrasive control is needed.
Designed for hand-applied deburring and finishing applications on glass, metal, and stainless steel surfaces where extra fine abrasive action is required.
No power tools or mounting hardware are required for standard hand use. When using on stainless steel, keep the stick moving to avoid localized heat buildup that could affect surface finish. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when deburring sharp edges. Store abrasive sticks away from solvents and oils that may degrade the rubber bond over time.
