The CRATEX 1345C is a rubberized abrasive point in a taper shape, designed for precision deburring, blending, and surface finishing in hard-to-reach areas. It measures 0.875 inches maximum diameter by 1.25 inches in length and accepts a 0.25-inch arbor hole for use with rotary tools, die grinders, and similar equipment. The abrasive compound is silicon carbide at a coarse grade with a 60 grit rating. Rated to 20,000 RPM, it delivers aggressive material removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ceramics, and composites. It ships unmounted, ready for use with a compatible mandrel.
This rubberized abrasive point is suited for applications in metalworking, tool-and-die shops, maintenance and repair operations, and light fabrication environments. The taper geometry allows access to internal radii, recesses, ports, and contoured surfaces where flat or cylindrical abrasives cannot reach. Technicians in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades use rubberized points for cleaning valve seats, deburring pipe ends, and smoothing threaded fittings before assembly.
Designed as an unmounted rubberized abrasive point for use with rotary tools and die grinders equipped with a 0.25-inch mandrel.
Installation and use of abrasive points should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with rotary tool safety. Verify the spindle speed of the host tool does not exceed the 20,000 RPM rating of this point before operation. Secure the mandrel firmly in the tool chuck and ensure the point is fully seated before energizing. Always wear appropriate eye protection and ensure the work area is clear of combustible materials when grinding or deburring.
