The COMELIT USA 1256 is a relay actuator designed for use with intercom and access control systems. It provides a 10-amp contact output that can trigger door strikes, electric locks, gate openers, or other powered access devices when activated by the intercom control unit. The unit is sold individually and is intended for installation by qualified low-voltage or access control technicians integrating or expanding intercom system functionality. With a 10A contact rating, it handles the switching demands of most standard entry-control loads without additional relays or boosters.
The 1256 is used in residential and light commercial intercom installations where the base intercom system requires an actuator relay to switch a connected access device. It is compatible with COMELIT SIMPLEBUS2 system architectures, making it a direct fit for technicians working within that platform. Typical install scenarios include door entry panels wired to electric strikes, magnetic locks, or automated gate controllers that need a dedicated relay output beyond what the intercom panel provides natively.
Designed for use with COMELIT SIMPLEBUS2 intercom systems as a relay actuator accessory.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or access control technician familiar with intercom and door entry systems. De-energize the intercom system and any connected access devices before wiring the relay actuator. Follow applicable local electrical codes and the COMELIT system wiring documentation for proper load connection. Do not exceed the 10A contact rating when connecting downstream access control loads.
