The CLECO B1-CNB-LT-RD is a pneumatic inline needle scaler designed for surface preparation work including rust removal, scale removal, weld spatter cleanup, and paint stripping on metal surfaces. Powered by compressed air at 90 psi, it delivers 4,600 blows per minute through a 1-inch bore cylinder with a 1.1-inch stroke length. The inline handle configuration gives the operator direct axial control over the tool, making it well suited for flat surfaces and confined structural work. Air is supplied through a 1/4-inch NPT inlet at a consumption rate of 16 SCFM. Licensed tradespeople and industrial maintenance crews are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This needle scaler is used in industrial maintenance, shipyard, structural steel, fabrication shop, and heavy construction applications. The inline body style is commonly selected when working on flat plate, beam flanges, weld joints, and similar surfaces where direct-force scaling is required. At 6.25 pounds and 15 inches in overall length, it is a full-size production tool rather than a detail scaler, and it is typically paired with a dedicated air supply line sized to meet the 16 SCFM demand without pressure drop. It accepts standard needle-type chisel sets compatible with its 1-inch bore.
Designed for use with needle-type scaler sets; compatible with pneumatic air supply systems delivering 90 psi and a minimum of 16 SCFM through a 1/4-inch NPT connection.
This tool is operated by trained pneumatic tool technicians or industrial maintenance personnel. Before connecting or disconnecting the air supply, shut off the compressor feed valve and bleed the line to zero pressure. Verify the supply system can sustain 16 SCFM at 90 psi to avoid performance loss under load. Use a properly rated air line, fittings, and whip hose rated for the operating pressure; inspect all connections for leaks before use.
