The CERROBRASS 70A-8C is a brass compression tube female elbow designed to connect a 1/2 inch outside diameter tube to a 3/8 inch NPT female threaded port at a 90-degree angle. The fitting uses a compression-to-FNPT end connection configuration, eliminating the need for soldering or flaring at the tube end. Rated to 400 psi maximum working pressure and conforming to SAE standards, this elbow is built for reliable service in fluid conveyance systems. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting in refrigerant, fuel, water, and pneumatic line applications where a directional change is needed at a threaded female port.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial installations where a compression tube must terminate into a female NPT threaded connection at a 90-degree change of direction. Its operating temperature range of -65 degrees F to 212 degrees F (approximately -54 degrees C to 100 degrees C) makes it appropriate for a wide range of fluid and gas service conditions. The all-brass construction resists corrosion and holds up in both wet and dry system environments. Installers working on fuel gas, refrigeration, or potable water lines will find this elbow a direct fit for standard compression-to-pipe transitions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/2 inch OD compression tubing terminating into 3/8 inch NPT female threaded ports, conforming to SAE specifications. Thread specification is 11/16-20 FPT.
This fitting is typically installed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians working under applicable IPC or IFGC codes. Before installation, shut off and depressurize the line being serviced. Ensure the compression sleeve and nut are seated correctly on the tube before tightening to avoid leaks. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as brass fittings can deform if excessive force is applied.
