The CERROBRASS 69A-3A is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect 3/16-inch OD tubing to a 1/8-inch NPT male threaded port at a 90-degree angle. The compression end cinches to the tube mechanically - no soldering or flaring required - while the MNPT end threads directly into a female-threaded port. Rated to 400 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures from -65 degrees F to 212 degrees F, this fitting is built to SAE standards. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics use it in applications where a rigid tube must change direction into a threaded fitting body.
This fitting is commonly used in residential and light commercial applications involving instrument tubing, fuel lines, hydraulic pilot lines, and refrigeration sensing lines. The combination of a compression connection on the tube side and a male NPT thread on the port side makes it a practical choice when connecting small-diameter metal tubing to valves, manifolds, gauges, or equipment housings with 1/8-inch NPT female ports. The 3/8-24 thread size on the compression nut engages the fitting body to secure the ferrule and tube without additional sealing compounds on that end.
Designed as a standard SAE compression fitting for use with 3/16-inch OD tubing and equipment or valve bodies with 1/8-inch NPT female threaded ports.
Installation is performed by qualified plumbers, HVAC technicians, or refrigeration mechanics. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before disconnecting or installing any compression fitting. Insert the tubing squarely into the fitting body until it seats, then hand-tighten the compression nut before applying wrench turns - overtightening can crack the ferrule or distort the tube. Thread the MNPT end into the receiving port using appropriate thread sealant on the NPT threads per manufacturer and code requirements.
