The CARMEX 653/XRH32UNP2 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert engineered for right-hand external UN thread cutting at 32 threads per inch (TPI). Designed for use on CNC lathes and threading machines, this insert features a 60-degree included angle standard to Unified National thread profiles. The PVD-applied TiN (titanium nitride) gold coating improves surface hardness and extends cutting edge life across a wide range of workpiece materials. At 0.375 inches inscribed circle and 0.146 inches thick, this is a 16ER-style insert suitable for high-precision threading operations performed by machinists and toolroom professionals.
