The CARMEX 16ER20UNMXC/G is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external UN thread profiles at 20 threads per inch (TPI). It features a 60-degree included angle and a TiN (titanium nitride) coating applied via a PVD process, delivering consistent edge hardness and wear resistance across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert measures 3/8 inch inscribed circle and 0.146 inches thick. It is intended for use on CNC lathes and turning centers where precise, repeatable thread form is required. Installation is performed by machinists and toolroom technicians working in production or job-shop environments.

Installation Notes
