The CAMBRIDGE 222790 is a pre-insulated mini split lineset designed to connect the indoor air handler to the outdoor condensing unit in a ductless mini split system. This lineset features a 1/4-inch liquid line and a 3/8-inch suction line, spanning 35 feet to accommodate a wide range of installation distances. It ships with double flare nuts and does not include communication wire, making it suited for systems that use separate wiring or wireless communication. HVAC technicians working on residential and light commercial ductless installations will find this lineset a straightforward, ready-to-run solution.
This lineset is intended for ductless mini split applications where the indoor and outdoor units require a pre-cut copper line run of 35 feet. The 1/4-inch by 3/8-inch line combination is a standard sizing commonly matched to single-zone mini split systems in the 9,000 to 18,000 BTU/h range. It is appropriate for both new installations and replacement runs where the existing lineset is damaged or undersized. No wire is included, so electrical and communication cabling must be run separately per the equipment manufacturer and NEC requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation lineset for residential and light commercial ductless mini split systems requiring a 1/4-inch by 3/8-inch line pair with double flare connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician with EPA 608 certification, as this work involves refrigerant handling. Power down the indoor and outdoor units completely before connecting or disconnecting linesets. Use appropriate flare tools to verify double flare connections are seated and torqued per the equipment manufacturer specifications. Communication and power wiring must be run separately and wired to code per the NEC and the equipment manufacturer instructions.
