The BONEHAM SP00005504 is a slip-fixed drill bushing conforming to industry code SF, designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, the bushing maintains tight inside diameter tolerances of plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0005 inches for repeatable, accurate hole location. With a 0.5-inch ID, a 0.75-inch body OD, and a 1.5-inch length under the head, it fits standard liner bushings and locks in place via an LS-1 compatible lock screw. This part is installed by tool and die makers, machinists, and maintenance technicians who need a renewable, replaceable bushing in production drilling fixtures.
Slip-fixed bushings of this type are used in drill jigs and fixture plates across manufacturing, metalworking, and maintenance repair operations. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be removed and replaced without disturbing the liner bushing pressed into the jig plate, making it well suited for applications where multiple drill sizes or operations are performed at the same hole location. The head outside diameter measures 1 and 1/64 inches with a head height of 0.25 inches, providing a positive seating surface against the fixture.
Designed as an ANSI-standard SF slip-fixed drill bushing for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws and standard head liner bushings in drill jig and fixture plate applications.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians using an LS-1 lock screw to secure the bushing in a mating liner already pressed into the jig plate. Ensure the liner bore and the bushing OD are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating. Always de-energize or lock out any powered equipment before servicing fixture components. Verify bushing seating and lock screw engagement before returning the fixture to production use.
