The BONEHAM SFT3612IW is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Classified under industry code SF, this headed bushing features an inside diameter of 0.332 inches (letter size Q) with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, ensuring consistent hole location across repeated operations. The body outside diameter measures 0.5625 inches (9/16 inches) and the length under head is 0.75 inches (3/4 inches). Constructed from steel and renewable by design, it is installed and serviced by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabricators working with drill jigs in production or prototype environments.
This bushing is suited for use in slip-fixed bushing applications where a renewable liner is already press-fit into the jig plate. The SF-type design allows the SFT3612IW to be installed and removed during the machining cycle without disturbing the fixed liner. Compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws for secure retention during drilling operations. Typical applications include production drilling jigs in metalworking, aerospace component fixturing, and general precision machining setups requiring repeatable tool guidance.
Designed for use with LS-TW-2 compatible lock screws and intended as a slip-fixed (SF industry code) renewable drill bushing for standard SF-type fixed liner assemblies in drill jig applications.
Installation and replacement should be performed by qualified machinists or toolmakers familiar with drill jig bushing systems. Ensure the mating fixed liner is clean and free of debris before inserting the bushing. Secure the bushing using the appropriate LS-TW-2 lock screw to prevent rotation or lifting during the drilling cycle. Always verify that cutting tools are fully retracted and the workpiece is fixtured before engaging the lock screw.
