The BONEHAM SFT248GH is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with high precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to ANSI standards, it features a 0.2055 inch inside diameter, a 3/8 inch body outside diameter, and a 1/2 inch length under head. Constructed from hardened steel with a Rockwell hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC, the SFT248GH delivers consistent bore guidance and resists wear under repeated tool cycling. A machined head and renewable design allow the bushing to be removed and replaced without disturbing the jig plate. This bushing is compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws for secure seating during operation.
Slip-fixed bushings of this type are used in production drilling, reaming, and boring operations where precise hole location must be maintained across multiple workpieces. The SFT248GH fits into a standard bushing press fit liner or directly into a hardened jig plate. Typical installers include tooling machinists, jig builders, and manufacturing engineers working in metal fabrication, aerospace component production, and general precision machining environments. The renewable construction makes it well suited to high-cycle production fixtures where periodic bushing replacement is part of planned maintenance.
Compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws. Designed as an ANSI-standard renewable slip-fixed drill bushing for use in hardened jig plates and liner bushings in production tooling applications.
Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified tooling machinist or fixture builder using appropriate bushing press tooling. Ensure the receiving bore and liner bushing are clean and free of burrs before inserting the SFT248GH. The lock screw should be engaged fully to prevent the bushing from rotating or lifting during cutting operations. Never drive the bushing in with an impact tool, as this can damage the precision bore or deform the head seating surface.
