The BONEHAM SFT1612DC is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and related machining operations. Built to industry code SF, this bushing features a 0.1015 inch inside diameter (wire size 38), a 1/4 inch body outside diameter, and a 3/4 inch length under head. Constructed from steel, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for repetitive production work. The headed design seats securely in a drill jig plate, and the renewable construction means it can be replaced independently without reworking the jig itself. Lock screw compatibility with the LS-TW-2 screw keeps the bushing positively located during use.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jig assemblies in manufacturing, toolroom, and maintenance environments. It is a direct fit for applications where a slip-fixed bushing must be retained by a lock screw while still allowing fast changeover between operations. Machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians working with precision jig fixtures are the primary installers. The SF configuration is particularly useful in multi-operation setups where the same jig plate must accept different bushing sizes at the same station.
Compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation slip-fixed drill bushing for standard SF-series drill jig plates and fixtures.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with drill jig assembly practices. Ensure the jig plate bore and counterbore dimensions match the bushing body outside diameter and head diameter before pressing or sliding the bushing into position. Secure with the appropriate LS-TW-2 lock screw to prevent rotation or axial movement during use. Inspect the bore for burrs or debris before installation to avoid compromising the inside diameter tolerance.
