The BONEHAM SF6428NH is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to industry code SF, this bushing features a 25/32 inch inside diameter and a 1 inch body outside diameter, with a 1-3/4 inch length under the head. Constructed from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance required for repeated tooling operations. The headed design and LS-2 compatible lock screw interface allow secure, tool-free removal when the jig plate setup demands bushing changes between operations. It meets ANSI standards and carries a renewable bushing designation, meaning it is engineered for use with a liner bushing already pressed into the jig plate.
This bushing is used in production drilling, reaming, and boring fixtures across metalworking, toolroom, and precision machining environments. It installs into a compatible liner bushing seated in the jig plate, locking in place via an LS-2 series lock screw. The SF slip-fixed configuration is a common choice where multiple bushing sizes must be swapped at the same station without disturbing the liner. Typical installers include toolmakers, fixture builders, and machining setup technicians working in both job shop and production floor settings.
Designed for use with LS-2 series lock screws and compatible SF-style liner bushings. Fits jig plates and fixtures configured for a 1 inch body outside diameter slip-fixed bushing per ANSI standards.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machining technicians setting up drill jigs and fixtures. The liner bushing must already be pressed and seated in the jig plate before installing this slip-fixed bushing. Secure the bushing using an LS-2 compatible lock screw tightened to the fixture plate face. Always confirm the inside diameter and length under head match the tooling and plate thickness requirements before committing to production runs.
