The BONEHAM SF6416LX is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during machining and fabrication operations. Built to ANSI standards, this bushing features a 0.5625 inch inside diameter and a 1 inch body outside diameter, with a length under head of 1 inch. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance required for repetitive drilling, reaming, and boring cycles. The renewable design allows the bushing to be replaced in the jig plate without replacing the liner bushing, reducing tooling downtime in production environments.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs across light manufacturing, toolmaking, and precision machining applications. It is compatible with LS-2 lock screws, which secure the bushing in the liner during operation and allow for indexed removal when tool changes are needed. The SF industry code identifies it as a slip-fixed type with a head, used where the bushing must be locked in position during the cut. Typical installers include tool and die makers, machinists, and jig builders working in job shop or production settings.
Designed as an ANSI-standard slip-fixed drill bushing compatible with LS-2 lock screws. Intended for use with standard drill jig liner bushings that accept SF-type renewable bushings.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool and die makers during jig setup or bushing replacement. The jig fixture should be secured and any associated machinery powered down before servicing bushing components. The bushing is inserted into the liner bushing and locked with an LS-2 lock screw to prevent rotation or axial movement during the cut. Do not force-fit the bushing into a liner with an incompatible bore size, as this can damage the inside diameter tolerance and compromise tool guidance accuracy.
