The BONEHAM SF4822IM is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools accurately during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to the SF industry standard, it features a 5/16 inch (0.3125 inch) inside diameter and a 3/4 inch (0.7500 inch) body outside diameter. The bushing is manufactured from steel and includes a head for positive axial location in the jig plate. The inside diameter is held to a close tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, ensuring repeatable tool guidance. It is renewable and compatible with the LS-1 lock screw, allowing it to be removed and replaced without disturbing the liner bushing. Tooling engineers, jig builders, and machine shop technicians install this type of bushing in production drill jigs.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jig fixtures across light manufacturing and precision machining environments. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be inserted into a press-fit liner bushing and locked in place with an LS-1 compatible lock screw. Applications include repetitive-hole drilling and reaming operations where tool changes between operations are required. The renewable construction makes it practical for high-cycle production jigs where bushings are replaced as they wear.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit slip-fixed drill bushing for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws in standard SF-series liner bushings. Confirm liner bushing bore diameter matches the 3/4 inch body outside diameter before installation.
Slip-fixed bushings are installed and serviced by tooling engineers, jig builders, or machine shop technicians. Before removing or installing a bushing, ensure all machine power is off and the jig fixture is secured. Use the designated LS-1 lock screw to retain the bushing during operation and verify the screw is fully engaged before running the cutting tool. Do not force the bushing into the liner without confirming dimensional compatibility, as improper fit will compromise tool guidance accuracy.
