The BONEHAM SF4816JJ is a slip-fixed drill bushing manufactured from steel with a hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC. It features a 23/64-inch inside diameter, a 0.75-inch body outside diameter, and a 1-inch length under the head. The head measures 1-3/64 inches in outside diameter with a 1/4-inch head height. This type of bushing is used in jig and fixture applications to guide drill bits, reamers, and other cutting tools with precision. It installs by slipping into a liner bushing and locking in place, making it renewable and interchangeable without disturbing the fixture setup. Installation is performed by tool and die makers, machinists, and fixture builders.
The SF4816JJ is suited for use in drill jigs where repeatable hole location accuracy is required. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be rotated into a locked position, preventing it from turning or lifting during the drilling operation. It is compatible with an LS-1 lock screw for positive retention. This bushing meets ANSI standards and fits into standard SF-series liner bushings used in production and prototype fixture applications across metalworking and manufacturing environments.
Designed for use with standard SF-series liner bushings and compatible with an LS-1 lock screw for secure retention in drill jig fixtures.
Installation is typically performed by machinists or tool and die makers during fixture setup or bushing replacement. Before servicing, ensure the fixture is secured and all associated machinery is powered down and locked out per applicable safety procedures. The bushing slips into a mating liner bushing and is rotated to engage the locking notch, then secured with the appropriate LS-1 lock screw. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner, as this may damage the bore or compromise tool guidance accuracy.
