The BONEHAM SF328HL is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to industry code SF, this bushing features an inside diameter of 0.261 inches (Letter G) with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, ensuring repeatable hole location accuracy. The body outside diameter measures 0.500 inches with a length under the head of 0.500 inches. Constructed from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, the SF328HL delivers the wear resistance required for production drilling environments. A headed design and LS-1 compatible lock screw keep the bushing secured in the liner during operation. Tool and die makers, machinists, and fixture builders install this type of component in precision jig plates.
This slip-fixed bushing is intended for use in drill jig and fixture assemblies where the bushing must be retained by a lock screw during the drilling, reaming, or boring operation. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be removed and replaced without disturbing the liner bushing pressed into the jig plate, making it well-suited for production runs that require tool changes between operations. The renewable design extends fixture service life by allowing worn bushings to be swapped out individually.
Compatible with LS-1 lock screws. Designed as an ANSI-standard SF slip-fixed drill bushing for use with matching liner bushings in jig and fixture assemblies.
Installation is typically performed by machinists or tool and die makers during jig assembly or bushing replacement. Ensure the liner bushing in the jig plate is clean and free of chips before inserting the slip-fixed bushing. Align the lock screw slot with the retaining screw and secure with an LS-1 compatible screw before beginning the cutting operation. Do not force the bushing into the liner — a properly matched liner and slip-fixed bushing should seat with light hand pressure.
